New album announced + florescer. released!!! |

It feels so weird opening this file again. It's been literal ages.
I'm working on a new album now! It should be done by the end of the year and I
am so excited to release it. I've been experimenting with jungle and breakcore
and might have found the music I really want to continue making.
It's also really weird to be writing this while on the train back to uni
because I literally only opened this so I can sit in the snack car without
kicked out. Okay, now for the album.
Like mentioned, this is a breakcore album that I plan to release with
Antithesys Records. It's an 8 track album with a ~6 minutes ambient track to
break things up. I've been working on this album for a few weeks now, almost
3 months. I finished Higher Order on July 17th and I'm wrapping up "Song 8"
this week.
Quick side note. I've been writing this and formating it so the line width is
consistant and not a single line has actually hit this width perfectly lol.
Anyway, I also released a single yesterday titled "florescer." I have yet to
put it on soundcloud or newgrounds but you can already listen to it on stores!

Dear avarti / artisiole,
You asked for "a mix between lowercase and noise"
What the hell.
Ignoring the polar opposite genres, I'm happy to say I survived your request!
I asked for clarification on the request and you returned with "the request is
asking for a blend between the genres lowercase and noise, so i'd maybe
recommend starting by making one of the genres individually, then fusing
elements of the other into it" So after about 8 days of trying to make noise
music (with 0 knowledge about it), I gave up and started to do actual research
on the genre. I genuinely started to appreciate what the genre had to offer.
(I did this for a bout an hour btw) With a fresh mind and new ideas, I got
back to work. Taking a more subtle approach, I decided to go after the
uneasiness that both genres seem to have, with more atmospheric sound then
actual white noise.
I spent around 10-ish days for this and had 5 previous failed attempts. It
sounds nice considering the two genres but I will forever be unsatisfied :)
I present to you, "grit."

Happy New Year! 2022 has been hell for many so I hope 2023 will be a bit better.
Along with me, the site has been going through a lot of changes. If you haven't
noticed the "Other" section in the nav bar, it's a collection of smaller, less
important projects. It first leads to a base converter but there is a section for
all the other projects.
Inside the "others" is a codepen list, it's sort of self explainitory but it's
just a collection of random codepens that I copied over and made a whole ton of
changes to. I don't own most of the codepens, just made a lot of changes.
That's really it, I did put out a lot of music that I didn't find good enough
for full releases so look at newgrounds for those.

Yo yo yo, long time no see!
It has been a while since I've posted an update here.
If you remember from last year, I participate in a small
community event called audio secret santa! (ASS)
It's an event where people submit prompts and receive
other's prompts to make a song out of.
On December 25th everyone (80-90 ppl) get together in a
large discord call and listen to every single submission.
It's a nice break from life and you get cool songs out of
it :)

Following up on the previous post, it's spooky
season and I really dont have an idea of what
I want to do with the site.
I do want to make everything orange, black, and
purple but that seems like a lot of work. I'll
see what I can do and I'll update the site soon.
I also merged the two repositories so both links
go to the same place, I have no idea why github
used my testing file but that happened so I no
longer have the old code.

There has been so many changes to the site
it's insane. I'm still trying to round out
the new theme along with making everything
interactive. I don't know why I want
everything to be moving because it lags out
but I honestly like the idea of a site that
feels alive.

changes during school

Starting so many projects has caused so much stress, the deadlines are practically consuming me.
Revisiting this song really did lift some weight off my shoulders (even if it made me put off some projects)
Coming back to a project with a fresh mind does a lot for ones mental health. Take a break every once in a while.
